SA’s richest multisport series kick-starts in Gauteng

If your New Year’s resolution was to get more exercise and spend quality with your family, there’s an effective way to do both.

The Momentum Health I-Flex National Duathlon Series powered by PeptoPro, South Africa’s richest multisport series, opens its fourth year at Johannesburg’s Waterfall Country Estate in Kyalami on Sunday 27 February, with its reputation for superior organisation expected to increase numbers significantly.

The first event is held off-road, so bring along your mountain bike, riding kit and trail running shoes. Cycling helmets are compulsory.

If you don’t have a bicycle, form a team with a friend. If you’re a cyclist, find a runner friend and take part together.

The terrain is described by the organisers as fast, with little in the way of climbing. Expect flowing single-track, grassland tracks and some bridges.

Waterfall Estate is situated 10 minutes north of Sandton CBD, with views of fields, dams and the distant Magaliesberg mountains. Included on the route of the hugely popular Momentum 94.7 MTB Challenge, it offers a safe environment for the whole family to enjoy a day together.
