With the entry capacity now sitting at 90% full, the JOBURG ULTRA organisers B-ACTIVE Sports have extended the entry deadline to ensure that those athletes who are trying to sign on at this late stage for the race on the 2nd December at the Cradle, get a chance to join the other thousands of triathletes for what is the inaugural 1st event at this new venue

The Cradle forms the hub of where most of the Highveld triathletes train over weekends and to have a race right on their doorstep has created a massive surge in interest not seen since the founding days of the Ultra Tri Series which is now countrywide with 4 prestigious events all held at different times of the year

A feather in the cap for the race organisers is the late entry of Emma Pallant who hails from the UK and is now residing in Johannesburg for the duration of the summer months to get in some much needed training before she heads off to join the PRO circuit once again in 2019. Pallant has a number of half distance titles to her name and will add some much needed competition to the ladies (and men’s) field which has traditionally only attracted some of the best age grouper ladies as most of the local ZA PRO’s have based themselves overseas. The local ladies will have their work cut out for them if they are to take the race to Pallant who, although in her “off” season will add some stern competition over the 1.9km swim, tough undulating 90km cycle and hot 21km run.

The JOBURG ULTRA is set to me a massive hit and a sold-out filed can be expected in the next day or two

ENTRIES are now open for a limited time or up until the 100% capacity is reached – Don’t delay – get your entry in now
