FINAL TINMAN TRI SERIES EVENT SCHEDULED FOR THE 28TH OCTOBER

Entries are streaming in for the 4th and final leg of SA’s Longest Standing Triathlon Series – the TINMAN TRI SERIES sponsored by ZONE 3, which is owned and operated by the B-Active crew down in Durban.

The 4th leg of the 4 part race series will take place on Sunday the 28th October down at Suncoast Beach. Geared as a really fun and exciting triathlon event, the TINMAN Tri SERIES has grown in stature and numbers over the last few years with the very best competing for the top spots whilst the majority just come down to compete and enjoy themselves over a swim/bike/run format

Racing will get underway at 7am sharp with the 10km run event. This race is an ideal opportunity for the runners to set some PB’s along the flat and fast 2 loop 10km run course. The Rookie Triathlon which has exploded with well over 100 + youngsters and newbies toeing the line each and every race, starts at 7:10am. They compete over a very short and totally safe 200m sea swim followed by a 5km cycle on roads that are closed to traffic to then end off with a flat 2.5km run leg. The Rookie event is an ideal starter event for the youngsters and newbies who want to get a feel for the sport of triathlon.

The next event which normally starts around 7:30am is the SPRINT DISTANCE RACE (500m swim/20km cycle/5km run).  Last but not least is the CHALLENGE DISTANCE RACE (1km swim/30km cycle/10km run) which follows the sprint distance athletes at 7:40am. Both these events attract the seasoned triathlete as well as the fun-beginner type who come to race and just enjoy themselves at this no pressure laid back triathlon gathering

 

Triathletes will compete for prizes over the 4 race options on offer for the day with the winners being crowned and lucky draw prizes being handed out on the Suncoast Lawns straight after the last race has finished

Entries will close in 3 weeks-time – there are NO on the race day race entries and the field is limited to 500 competitors in total so don’t delay – get your entry in early.
